Species Assessment and Monitoring
In the face of accelerating biodiversity loss, identifying species at risk of extinction is crucial for their conservation. ASESD is working with its partners to accelerate the identification of species (plants, fungi, insects, birds, reptiles and mammals) threatened with extinction as well, increase the knowledge available on the conservation status of data deficient and not-listed species on the IUCN Red List. These assessment is shared with relevant stakeholders through Reports, seminars, workshops, published articles, and radio programme. Such information can guide relevant conservation stakeholders to prioritize their conservation actions
